Hi! I'm Shaina.

I'm a writer, director, and creative producer based in New York. I graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 2023 with a BFA in Film and Television. Recently, I have worked at Paired up Media as a Casting Assistant for an untitled upcoming Hulu show, DramaZone as an elementary Film teacher, WriteMovies as a Script Consultant, and Washington Square News as a Video Editor. 

The kinds of stories that I gravitate towards change all the time. But I am always drawn to complex people. I love uncomfortable silences, embarrassing honesty, and inarticulate dialogue. I love exploring all of the gray that lies in between comedy and tragedy, or reality and fantasy. 

Whatever the genre, I want to be part of making things that make people want to live more vividly and presently when they leave the theater. Fall in love! Plan a heist! Call your mom! Do all three, but maybe not in that order. 🙂
